Didn’t think I’d have to get approval on 150$ for a backup big the hawks desperately need who can be late bloomed. I’m good on being an interim you can find someone else I guess "all trades" wasn't clear enough? How do I word it differently to avoid this in the future? |

Also I am annoyed with myself cause I’ve had to PM John on like 3 different occasions because the first trade I did I fucked up the cap and now I came back with this one and didn’t think it would be a big deal seeing as no one really commented against me sending 400$ on the first deal.

It is what it is Well, again if you had followed the rules OR at least posted reasoning, I'd have something to go off. When you put "try again" it made me think you were trying to do the same type of deal as before, reducing cap. So I thought the trade got posted wrong, missing a player or something, hence my initial "what the fuck". I didn't act like you were killing the president, I was asking for an explanation, thats it. And once again, it might be $150 but I said in the rules, that are now pinned and I've quoted here, that I'd heavily scrutinize cash going out with the idea that cash is meant to be built, not depleted, to give the new GM a nice bank to work with. $150 ain't shit and likely would have meant this going through with proper explanation, but you choose not to follow any of the rules or give me something to go off, so I questioned the trade, within the scope of the rules as posted. This is 100% on you. |

OR I push it through, we continue with you as the Hawks interim, and understand the rules moving forward or at least help me understand why you are doing a deal by putting an explanation, so I know why the deal is being done so I don't have to ask questions to get that info? Seems like a much, much easier solution here. But I'll do whatever you want. |

I just want to be clear, I have no desire to nix deals that make sense for the teams involved. Spike didn't realize how we had set up camping rules, and with the Hawks I'm going to further reinforce that. I'm allowing free camps to youth because I do not want lotto picks to go to waste on teams that don't have GMs. But beyond that, no camps are allowed. The Hawks are set to be negative at the end of the season with the luxury tax, and the bank will be reset. Hence why I'm not going to just allow a trade like this without some sense of explanation.
Me and Spike talked, we're good. I came across abrasively and I'm sorry. But y'all should know how I communicate and me going "okay, what the fuck" is not me being an asshole, though I can see why and how Spike took it that way. I really did only want to know what the motivation here was. $150 for depth, fine. Spike didn't realize the late bloomer wasn't available and doesn't want to proceed with the deal with that fact in mind. But $150 going out when we're going to reset the bank in the off season anyway is going to make me ask questions, even if its only $150. I'll continue to scrutinize the cash dealings of interim GMs because the league is handling them in a way that they essentially have unlimited cash and its not fair to other GMs. Its a big reason Van left. I'm trying to find the middle ground here with cash and interims. If someone has a better idea, I"m all ears but this was the compromise.
