We are back again after a surprising 2024. I did not expect this team to be able to reach as many wins as we did. Ending up with the 8th pick in the draft was fine, of course it would have been nice to have a top pick. We are still very satisfied with the addition of Justin Edwards and believe that he will be able to grow nicely with our young core.
Mason Plumlee will be rejoining for another season, he played decent enough last year and for 1M - I doubt I could do better at that rate. He’ll hopefully be a 4th/5th big on the roster next season.
Which leads me to free agency, this will obviously be updated later in the offseason and after training camp. The free agent market does not look insanely strong but we have a lot of cap space and have a few positions of need. Adding a couple of big men seems like a good place to start and maybe a veteran SF to act as a stopgap till Edwards is ready.

Brought in to fill my massive PF hole and provide an offensive scoring punch, Siakam has a solid inside/outside game and isn't completely useless on defense or rebounding. Wemby should be able to cover for some of his shortcomings.

I loved this signing, I really wanted to add Hartenstein to the team last season. Now he comes in and can be a strong defensive/rebounding spot starter or just backup 4/5. This slides Plumlee to the 4th big on the roster and he should be fine there.

Not my first choice at SF, I was actually looking at DeRozan... but Oubre will work out for the 1 year. Maybe next year Edwards will take a leap or I will find another 1 year stop gap, one that provides more hopefully. Just depends on the FA class.

This was a nice leftover FA signing, Wright provides some defense to my PG position. Last year, I started Dyson Daniels for a lot of games, Wright will be better all around. Free small upgrade.
