I'm sorry that I'm asking questions but whenever new GM's take over teams they can amnesty 1 player of their choice on their roster at any time?
I wasn't here in past leagues here so I just wanted to be aware..

But yes a new GM can’t amnesty any players contract |

This player must be on the team at the time the new GM takes over, and does not count for the current season. The way it will be handled is the player's remaining years on the contract will be removed, but the current season's salary stays and that player turns into an expiring contract with no bird years. This can only be done between sim 22 (after trade deadline) and day 1 of FA on a new GMs 1st year with the team. If the GM misses that window then this amnesty opportunity is lost. I should have read the rules. He stays on Nets roster and becomes a FA, but yes, he has to cut him in the last few sims, so he did it correctly.

I'm not mad at all and not trying to start anything.. I just wanted clarification. This can go through or not doesn't bother me at all, Just.. Didn't we all get until sim 1 to submit our amnesties to A. Silver so that he can run an FA sim? Just as a person who has been a commish in leagues I just didn't see the fairness of how we had like 1 day real time since taking a team and a new GM would have a month real time since taking a team to use theirs. |
