Draft Order:
1. Wizards - PF Cooper Flagg
Ratings: B B- C+ B- B- A
Age: 19
Grade: A+
Overview: There was no other choice here. Flagg is set up to be the next big thing in this league. He already comes in looming like a player that would be an all-star and then he will go through a TC and hopefully a camp(dash don't forget this one) and he could be looking like a future MVP come year one. That's scary for the league and dash might have something building real quick. Taking the wizards is finally paying off.
2. Celtics - SF Matas Buzelis
Ratings: B- B- B- B- C A
Age: 21
Grade: A
Matas is the clear #2 guy in this draft and has a really good shot at being one of the best players in the league one day. He's got a great starting build, even rounding out at C rebounding. If you wanna be nitpicky, his scoring is probably on the lower ends of those B-'s, but again, you need to be stop being nitpicky, it's a really bad problem of yours. He's got quite literally everything you could want in a wing prospect. If he was 19, he honestly would have had a strong consideration for #1, but even then, you really can't complain. Matas might even have a chance to be better than Cooper since Matas plays a position that's notorious of have very few elite talents. I love Matas, and hope the Celtics finally found their corner stone guy to build around.
3. Warriors - C Khaman Maluach
Ratings: B- C+ C B- C+ A
Age: 19
Grade: A
Overview: The last of the big 3 so this was a no brainer for the Warriors. Khaman looks set to hold down being the anchor of the front court for years to come. He isn't as great as Flagg but he isn't too far behind. The Warriors got some luck sent their way after losing Curry to retirement so soon. Now the warriors just have to figure out the rest of the puzzle because they just got one big piece filled up.
4. Clippers - SG Dink Pate.
Ratings: B- C+ C+ B- C- A
Age: 19
Grade: A-
Overview: Pate is the next best player in the draft for sure. He has solid all around skills for a SG and as long as he continues to grow his shot he should be a force in this league. I would have expected a PG though since the Clippers don't have one to build around but you sometimes just go BPA and Pate was that. The way the league is going right now having good wings is ultra important so the Clippers are on the right path.
5. Thunder - PG Bronny James
Ratings: B- C C+ B- C A
Age: 20
Grade: B-
Upside pick here for the Thunder, and one that's more fun that it is practical. Melo loves these types of guys, and this pick kind of fits him perfectly, he screams the type of prospect Melo loves. Highly athletic, solid defense, and C rebounding for a PG is massive. His handle rating is pretty decent, but we'll see if that's just because he's extremely quick, which could very well be likely. I think though, all in all, there were just better PG prospects available. I get the draft really falls off after 3, but I personally liked Trey Alexander and Elliot Cadeau more. Trey's note especially looks really interesting, and Cadeau and BRonny share the same note. It's a solid one no doubt, and we'll see who ends up getting the free boosts. All in all, I like the pick because it's a Melo aesthetic pick, but again, I think maybe Sarr or Trey would've been better.
6. Hawks - SF Dame Sarr
Ratings: B- C+ C+ C C A
Age: 19
Grade: B+
Overview: Sarr is an interesting prospect and with wings being a need here I see why the Hawks would go this route and add on they have their PG of the future so Alecmxandef was not an option. Nut I would have liked Reid here. No worthy big on the roster and with Hunter and Griffin you now have a log jam. I guess the Hawks are not too big on either and want someone they see as a reliable option for the future. Carrington/Sharpe/Sarr is a pretty good foundation for the next 5-10 years as long as they can develop because we seen what Sharoe is all about.
7. Rockets - PG Trey Alexander
Ratings: B- C+ C+ B- C- A
Age: 23
Grade: B
Good pickup for the Rockets. Trey's note is effectively the old Rookie Experience bonus, and him being the only guy to be able to effectively have that is a massive boost. If he starts and stays healthy, it's an easy +5 pot boost to reup after his first TC. He's got a really solid build, and can easily bloom into a very good starting PG. The only real issue with him is his age, as he is coming in at 23. But, if you can look passed that, as the Rockets have, you're going to find a potential really good PG with a great note. I think he has a real shot at being a stud, and that's exactly what they need after their main duo walked out on them.
8. Bucks - PG Elliot Cadeau
Ratings: C C+ B B- D+ A
Age: 21
Grade: C+
Overview: Not a fan of this pick at all for the Bucks. Being they don't have their picks for the next two years you would like to find talent who can mesh with what they already have. Lillard could swing back to PG and a guy like Judah Mintz would have been a great grab. But with that Cadeau looks like the pass first pg that could fit a roster of Giannis/Durant/Lillard and allow them to control the scoring. He also plays elite type defense but will his offense ever grow? That will be only in time for us to find out and I could be dead wrong bout this pick but I just feel this isn't a present/future type pick like they needed.
9. Pistons - C Ismaila Diagne***
Ratings: C C- C- B- C+ A
Age: 19
Grade: C
Overview: I understand the reasoning behind it but don't like the pick. Feel there's better options especially without their pick this coming year. Not much to like outside the fact that Diagne is 3 years overseas. So he could develop nicely and come in already a made player but with the hope that they find a gm sooner than later a 3 year project might not be what a incoming gm would like to see. Feel you take a prospect who can help you now and hope for the best but thats just my thinking.
10. Spurs - PF Derrion Reid
Ratings: B- C C- C+ C+ A
Grade: B+
Age: 19
Love this pick for the Spurs. Derrion looks like your classic raw PF. Solid scoring, and C+ C+ is not bad for as a starting point, but also not necessarily great. Where he gets interesting is that A potential at only 19 years old. With FBB, there's always the what if with teens, and getting one of those what if guys who looks to already have solid pot and a really solid build out, man if that teen pot goes crazy he genuinely could be just as good as Cooper Flagg after a few seasons. Obviously that's a MASSIVE what if, but that being said, Derrion is essentially Cooper Flagg at home. And Cooper Flagg at home at #10 is really solid if you ask me
