1. You go into season 4 with a roster that is built to win a title. If you are able to dethrone the Sixers in the East this year, what will be the main reason?
Yourkers: The addition of Brunson. I took them to 6 games and that was with a lack of a true pg. I feel now that I have Brunson I finally have someone that could match maxey as a top of the line PG and the rest of the roster I feel is pretty on par that it should be a fun year and if we match up a fun series.
2. Victor Wembanyama is obviously worth a full max and whatever he is asking for, but do you foresee any potential cap issues if you are forced to be paying 2 maxes to your 2 starting big men?
Yourkers: I could run into issues but that is why I am looking for cheap talent to put around them. I added 2 rookie scale players this year that I feel both could be really solid players especially Sherrell. Now next year I will need to make sure to find a solution with Garland and his contract becoming an expiring. Might need to move him to keep myself under the cap but hopefully that isn't the case.
3. You made some big moves this offseason bringing in guys like Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges. Bridges started off sim 1 pretty rough. Do you think that he'll be able to give you enough at the SF spot to win it all?
Yourkers: I'll take Bridges not scoring much if it means he is shooting a very high percentage and playing good defense. So even though I would love to see some more out of him I am ok with it if he doesn't. I like what I am seeing from everyone else that I don't feel if he stays here that it hinders our title chances.
4. Defense down low seems to be your number one priority in your roster, while allowing the guards to just dominate on offense. Do you think that's a recipe for success when the top teams in the league have elite offensive point guard play?
Yourkers: I believe it will have a great chance to succeed because my bigs will give my team multiple scoring opportunities while limiting the other team to only have one trip down the court. I like that I have an elite front court while other teams do not and still having a top back court duo as well. In the end I feel my balanced shouldn't be matched.
5. Your bench seems a little thin after some of the big trades. Will you look to address that early in the season or wait until after day 60 when you can go over cap?
Yourkers: I will have to see what is avaliable when the time comes. Not looking to lose valuable assets if I don't have to because the team is playing well. I really like Sherrell/Fernandez/Biyombo as my front court bench depth. Feel that's very solid. Now Anthony is solid enough to be my backup 1/2 and what I do lack is wing depth. I do like Royal and his defense though. But we will see as the season goes.
6. Heading into season 4, the Sixers will be looking for a three peat, which has only happened once, dating back to the original NBN. If there is 1 team out there who can take the defending champs down, who is it and why?
Yourkers: I will have to go with myself because I have amazing balance on offense and defense but since I don't want to keep it just on me I will go with the grizz. The team has a lot of fire power and doesn't have much of a weakness outside of their bench. One of the best starting 5s and I also won't count out the Kings with fox. Fox showed how great he truly is and if he doesn't go down I wonder if we are having this conversation.
7. We've seen some top prospects struggle early on since the league has restarted, especially after some rough training camps. What are your thoughts on how the draft classes have looked on the court? Is the lack of success a product of the drafts or the randomness of FBB?
Yourkers: It's for sure the randomness of FBB. I have loved what rog has done with the drafts. I love the fact that the game is deciding a lot on who is good and who is not and not overpowering the prospects so they guarantee to be stars and we are inflated quickly. So it gives the whole draft value instead of say the top 10 and nothing else. A lot of hit or miss like real life. So I am cool with it just like this and eventually the big players will hit like Flagg is and the balance will come together.
8. We have not seen the worst regular season team be gifted the number 1 pick in the draft so far. Do you think there's to say that maybe full on tanking isn't necessary or even worth it with the way our lotteries have fallen so far?
Yourkers: 100% not worth it to sell all talents off and hope to have the best lottery odds. It's best to stay around top 5-8 range especially with this in mind. I always liked to still have talent when rebuilding just because you had someone to camp or pay attention to. Flat out tanking is just boring and really could be disappointing as shown. So its best to hold some talent and if it leads to the 1st pick you'll be much more satisfied.
9. There has been some discussion about potentially bringing PED camps back to the league. What's your thoughts on a) the camp itself and b) would it immediately lead to a more inflated league? Would there be a way we could introduce it that would be beneficial to the health of the league?
Yourkers: I have not missed it at all but I can see where it can be of a benefit. If we did it where it can only be done on non campable players I would like that idea. Also restrict how many one team can camp. Because I remember rebuilding teams just using it for the fact that they will hit on some and not care if they missed on the others. So there needs to be a limit and a restriction on type of players used on. Now as the camp as a whole I find it fun because it gives you a way to improve players who can't no more any maybe take them to the next level. But otherwise I am cool with it being apart of the league or not.
10. Bam Adebayo was given a max deal that will pay him over 70 mil in his last year. With where a player has to be experience wise to be given a contract like this, can you foresee any players that are worth 70 million in the future? Who and why?
Yourkers: I see a bunch of players having that value. Wemb, Flagg, Maxey, Fox, Doncic, just to name a few. But yeah eventually we will have to pay some of these players to keep them and its totally ok. I will find it interesting if some teams won't pay players because they don't think "any player" is worth 70 million. That is the more interesting question.
