1. You have a plethora of bigs on your roster that all seem to be about the same level. Who do you value the most out of your big rotation?
Just moved Rob Williams so he was definitely last on the list. In order here is how I value my bigs (C/PF) for right now.
1. Aday Mara ( I believe he will be elite if he isn't already)
2. Derrick Lively ( for now until Rocco is so raw)
3. Rocco Zikarsky
4. Brandon Clarke
5. Charles Bassey
2. You made a huge deal bringing in Donovan Mitchell and FVV to hold down the PG spot. Why did you think those guys were worth the value you gave up?
I mean if Wagner was playing how I thought he should of been by looking at his ratings I thought with Mitchell's 35ppg and Wagner's 25PPg team would be great. Wagner's and Miller's early season struggles are really killing me. If Wagner continues to shoot so poorly I might have to move him to super sub and start FVV at PG even though Mitchell has been so great.
3. On paper, Brandon Miller looks like a good young player, but it hasn't really translated onto the court. Do you think he has it in him to be a starter on a contender?
Honestly, even looking at his scouts, and not just ratings he looks like a 20PPG player. Not sure really why his numbers are that low. I had to play a lot with my DC last season too to finally get him to start scoring the ball a lot more. Hopefully once I figure out the depth chart again and if he can get to about 15-16ppg and 6-7rpg I think he can be a starter on a contending team.
4. If you could add any player in the league onto your roster without having to give anyone up, who would it be and why?
Hmm, this is a good question. I will probably have to go with the same player I said in Season 1. I think its still gotta be the best big in the league currently, Victor Wembanyama. Besides, him and Mara at C/PF would probably be the best big man duo in the league. A center that is elite at scoring in the paint while being able to shoot anywhere on the floor, elite at rebouding and blocking is always the way to go, NBA or NBN.
5. You've been adament about loving to trade. With your team virtually set, will we see any trades coming up throughout the season to improve the roster?
I'm always willing to trade no matter what. Just unfortunately with the amount of GM's that actually trade here I can only make about 5 trades with different GM's until I have to start going in circles with the same teams again. I am always willing to trade. Everyone is always on the table. Nobody here just makes the move to ever offer me to tell me they like anybody, its always me making the move first, even if I'm willing to move good players for cash or picks... Wagner, Mara, Mitchell, Miller, Lively, Rocco, etc are probably the hardest to get in that order but nobody is unavailable.
6. Heading into season 4, the Sixers will be looking for a three peat, which has only happened once, dating back to the original NBN. If there is 1 team out there who can take the defending champs down, who is it and why?
I think only Raptors really have a chance to give them a fight for their 3rd title to be honest. Adding Jalen to their roster is huge.. Top PG and Top C is always an amazing combo to build your team around. However, I still think Embiid/Maxey will win and I hope Carlos can do the 3 peat, always like to see it. Carlos is also a really cool dude and wouldn't mind to see him keep winning until I finally win one.
7. We've seen some top prospects struggle early on since the league has restarted, especially after some rough training camps. What are your thoughts on how the draft classes have looked on the court? Is the lack of success a product of the drafts or the randomness of FBB?
I love the randomness. Randomness I feel like is always the best way to go when you are using FBB. If you know how to perfectly use FBB in terms of randomness for drafts you are doing a very good job. I used to always like making draftees look really shitty during draft and they turn out to be great somehow and vice versa with a draftee looking great and having high pot but not actually turning out what he should of been. Either way with ratings, u always gotta look at stats and not raitngs, someone could have A- defense and average 0.8bpg and 0.6spg while a player with C+ defense can average 2.5bpg and 1.2spg.
8. We have not seen the worst regular season team be gifted the number 1 pick in the draft so far. Do you think there's to say that maybe full on tanking isn't necessary or even worth it with the way our lotteries have fallen so far?
On FBB it is almost never good to have the #1 projected pick. I know its not proven, but I think if you sim the lottery on FBB over and over again #1 will drop to #4 like 75% of the time. I don't lknow why but its just built that way. I feel like its usually best to have like 2-8 because those usually can drop into the top spot. But again, randomness is always the best way to go. In my last league I ran I had used what the real nba uses just the only problem was theres 29 teams in FBB not 30. However, I still think it was fun to use.
9. There has been some discussion about potentially bringing PED camps back to the league. What's your thoughts on a) the camp itself and b) would it immediately lead to a more inflated league? Would there be a way we could introduce it that would be beneficial to the health of the league?
I wasn't here for any of the old NBN's so not sure what it is but I will assume its some sort of steroids to make a player from good to great but if thats what it is I would vote to not allow it and just keep the camps the way it is now that we are so into the league. I hate inflation and anything that would add camps or make things inflated would make me lose interest for sure.
10. Bam Adebayo was given a max deal that will pay him over 70 mil in his last year. With where a player has to be experience wise to be given a contract like this, can you foresee any players that are worth 70 million in the future? Who and why?
I said it before and I will say it again. Nic Claxton contract was a steal year one. There were NO FA's that year and I knew there would be a lot more FA's later in the league and people would be throwing out money everywhere. Also, Look at Claxton now 3rd year into the contract. He has improved insanely as well. One of the top bigs in my opinion. Also way younger than most these bigs getting max. Bam is nowhere near worth that contract and I don't think he will ever be moveable. When Wembanyama will be making way less on a max contract next year we will see how bad Bam's contract looks.
