A little bit late this year but hopefully some people still find it useful and maybe it'll spark some conversation 
Centers: Last year, both Davis and Bam were at the top of the list in terms of PPG and now definitely Davis will be missing out on any season awards due to his injury. Chet and Wemby both started in the Western Conference and now I guess they will be back dueling it out for all-star appearances in the Eastern Conference. Outside the star players, I'm still a big fan of Gafford and Stewart - both have pretty good stats considering their lack of minutes.
Power Forwards: I wonder if both Detroit players will make the all-star game or if the game will value Paolo or Flagg more with the increase in assists and stocks. I included a few extra players here because I wanted Caleb Wilson to be in the list to show where he is currently at compared to the others at his position.
Small Forwards: This position is so top loaded in this conference it's insane. I really love Tatum and think Van has an amazing player here. I imagine Ingram will also make the all-star game but it feels pretty inflated and gross with Milwaukee, considering the last two seasons with Philly he averaged 22 and 17.
Shooting Guards: One of the key members of New York's superstar backcourt tops the list here. I know Thomas had a good season last year but it's still a bit of a surprise he's doing so well. I have similar thoughts with how Bane blew up again and how Mintz has responded to getting more minutes. The weirdest player has to be Rupert, who feels Bridges-like with his B/B scoring but still nearly dropping 20 ppg on nearly 50% FG.
Point Guards: Finally, we get to the point guards and I really went deep in the list because I just kept getting to a certain point and realizing there was another guy lower that felt like I could say something about him. The rookies, Philon, Lee and Buie are all pretty different, good scorers but low assists. Only two guys averaging over 10 APG seems pretty crazy, I know some guys are playing at SG instead but yeah it just there's a lack of great passers - I wonder how the West will look. I can't believe how much Mitchell is scoring right now, he's having an amazing season. Washington's backcourt is also very impressive, they're both scoring at incredible efficiency.

The pg position is so stacked out East. Wonder if Brunson doesn't get hurt where he actually would be. Yeah Collier blowing up the way he has and how many FGA Mitchell has been getting, I’m not sure. The Haliburton/Maxey/Ball trio are so good. I bet he would be right up there too. |

I figure that’s fine for the purpose of the article. |

I'm guessing Maxey makes it bc of low TOs but it doesn't look like I have any surefire All Stars despite our record this year
