1. Your team has played extremely well after the Luka acquisition. How do you feel about your roster as the season moves along in terms of contention?
Right now I see this team as a 4 or 5 seed. Acquiring Luka and Pablo have been the key to the Cavs resurgence , and drafting a possible future Star like Dylan Harper has helped. Hartenstein has given me really solid minutes as a Starter, that being said. I can see myself pulling the trigger on 1 or 2 trades to improve my bigs and also the SF or SG position.
2. You have one of the better defensive teams in the league, despite only Hartenstein being a defensive big. Why do you think you've been able to hid Banchero's defensive liability so well?
I think a combination of solid Team defense , and very underrated player like Tugler coming off of the Bench certainly helps that situation.
3. Dylan Harper has the makeup of a great player. What do you think his ceiling is?
Great Question , do I think he can be a top 10 scoring player no , but I do think he will eventually put up 20ppg/7rebs/1.5 Spg. That will ultimately depend on what position he ends up settling at , and also how much progress he makes throughout his career. I would be suprised to see him as a multi ASG participant.
4. You've chosen to not upgrade your SF spot. Do you think that your team has enough come playoff time with Haralson playing big minutes?
No I don't, hence the move of Harper to SF , again , I am seriously looking at acquiring more talent for this team , and the SF position remains a huge emphasis during my trade talks.
5. With some cap space still available this season, will you look to make any upgrades?
Upgrades will certainly be looked at , that being said depending on what the geography of the league looks like , that will determine what happens for my squad. I won't make a trade unless it helps the team this season and moving forward.
6. It seems like we have over half of the league not actively trying to compete. This has always been an issue, but can you think of a way to incentivize teams to try and win a bit more?
I think that this issues comes around alot in real life , and in sin leagues. If you don't think that your team has a legitimate shot to compete , then why not try to acquire as much draft capitol and youth as you can as the season nears the Trade deadline. If you are a GM and don't know if you are going to be a buyer or seller by the deadline..you definitely have some issues as a GM.
7. There have been some huge trades since the start of the new league that have netted 6, 7, or 8 firsts for a player. Do you think the value of a first rounder has decreased or are teams just star hunting while inflation hasn't kicked in yet?
I think picks are always great draft and trade capitol to have, to me it's how GMs will decide to build teams through trade or the Draft. For each GM, to each his own. It depends on the GM and how he values the Youth , or what he can get for husband bundle of picks.
8. PGs still reign supreme in FBB's eyes, but the value of a big man has stayed super high with the new league. If you had to choose between a guy like Tyrese Maxey or Victor Wembanyama to start your team with, who would it be and why?
I'll always go with Star PG over a Star Big , just my preference. Hence why I went out and acquired Luka and Pablo...best of both worlds scenario, now time to surround them.both with players to excel at their respective positions.
9. All of the top rookies had pretty good TCs to start their careers. With your current roster build, if you could take any rookie off another team, who would it be and why?
It would be AJ Dybantsa for me , the guy is putting up really strong numbers acrossed the board in a position which I have a huge hole at
10. Give me your East winner, West winner, and Champsionship winner predicitons half way through the season?
Raptors from the East
Grizzlies from the West.
I'll take Memphis in 6 to win it All.
