We are here to breakdown adn rank the playoff contenders and their ability to win the title
16B Golden State Warriors 34-41
GS is sitting just out of the playoffs but has a chance to sneak in. This roster is very young and i cant wait to see what the GM has in store for the offseason to possibly add talent to their very young Core.
16A San Antonio Spurs 35-41
Next on the list is the Spurs led by Charles. They have two decent looking prospects and 2 solid Vet players surrounded by a lot of Blah. I was hoping this team would have been greater after moving Wemby but it just never clicked. Mobley injury hasnt helped but i dont see the spurs making any sort of noise if they squeak in.
15. Los Angeles Clippers 37-36
Just barely over 500 this team has a negative Points to Points diff which is never good. Built around Sarr and Holland this team will need to add serious players if they want to do any sort of competing in the near future.
14. Phoenix Suns 39-34
Any time you have a guy like Booker and he can go out and get you 40+ you have a shot to win. This team has some nice bigs but lack the true pieces to compete like they did in the early seasons of the league. Gmless hurts and it may be time to let booker walk and trade Ayton and start a true rebuild.
13. Oklahoma City Thunder 40-32
Another team that has 2 solid Vets but then surrounded by not much else. Melo traded off some pieces at the deadline but this team hasn't clicked exactly how he wanted too. He always has something up his sleeve so im sure we will see some offseason moves from him.
12. Portland Trailblazers 43-33
The trend continues, The west is weak and it shows. Blazers have an awesome young core of Sarr, bufkin and foster. Im curious to see where theyd be with JHS still but im excited for their future.
11. Indianna Pacers 42-34
Finally we have reached the East. Pacers have a solid roster and are at the bottom of a very tough eastern Conference. The lack of a true Sf is holding this team back from their true potential.
10. Cleveland Cavaliers 42-32
The Cavs took a step in the right direction this year. They just made a move to get Ingram at the deadline but i think the lack of 3PT shooting from their Sg will come back to hurt them. Still this roster is fun and excited to see what they do next year.
9. Atlanta Hawks 43-31
This roster looks like it should be so much better. Idk if its because the East is so tough or this team just doesnt fully click consistently but i love this roster and could easily se them making an upset early in the playoffs.
8. New York Knicks 45-28
What a roster this is, every day i look i feel like there are 2-3 new faces in NY. I get trading is fun and it keeps the league alive but i wonder how this roster would have faired with some other players that they've moved on from. Wagner and Mithcell can go get 65 every night but they can easily give up 65 so i think that is what truly is holding this team back from true Contending.
7.Sacramento Kings 46-28
Silver was away for a bit but came back and made a big splash trading for Claxton. He needed defensive help down low and now he has that. I like moving Sabonis to PF too think he will strive offensively.
6. Los Angeles Lakers 48-26
Injuries to Reaves and now KP have hindered us a bit but we have continued to fight. Fully healthy i think we can compete with anyone but as of now we are not.
5. Orlando Magic 53-25
Rog and the Magic are led by the Twin towers. Lee and williams also are two solid young core pieces that will have this team competing for years. The question is, when will Rog get bored and move them.
4. Toronto Raptors 53-21
Yourk has done his best to try and wheel and deal to get this roster to exactly what he wants. Wemby is a stud and possibly the best player in the league but a lot like some other teams on this list i think the weak SF spot and Cunninghams C defense will come back and hurt this team when it matters most.
3. Memphis Grizzlies 56-21
One of my close rivals, Ucf has this team on top of a weak West but that doesn't mean they're not true contenders. A complete roster and Studs like SGA and Zion make this team fun and i can see them finally making a championship run.
2. Washington Wizards 59-15
Dash hit the lottery landing Flagg a couple years ago and he has not disappointed. Surrounded by Ball and Collier and then sprinkled with Bigs and solid play at Sf this is one of my favorite rosters. Can Dash finally end the Sixers run?
1. Philidelphia 76ers 60-17
The best scoring team in the league by a mile and they just casually add Jokic. Where I'm from we have a saying. To be the man you've got to BEAT the man and over the last 3 years no one has been able to do that. Carlos has done great things with this roster and think its going to take some crazy luck for them to not end up with their 4th straight tittle.
