Criticize my trades here in the form of questions so I can get some cash for it.

After a crazy offseason is there any regrets?
What are your plans with father and son?

Why on earth did you make such a bad and questionable trade as your first serious transaction other then Free Agency with the team? Just trying to make this team your own , or do you really think that the trade really helps the franchise start to build its way into a winner?

Do you still consider yourself slim, or is it just a username at this point?

Did you consider keeping Mara or were you always planning on flipping anything you got in FA?

After a crazy offseason is there any regrets? What are your plans with father and son? Not really any regrets. At the end of the day we decided to take the longer route of building up methodically. Excited about some of the younger pieces we’ve added to the roster and future picks we’ve collected. The plan for now is to let the two challenge each other every day and push each other to become the best possible players they can be. They’ll have a lot of opportunity on this team despite being so young, so we’ll give them the green light and take it day by day.

Not sure if the trade you’re referring to is sending Mara/Topic to the Lakers or the deal with the Thunder, but either way, it’s a little of both. Obviously we believe this path allows us to build a better winner in the future, with the full awareness it will take some time. A couple of these questionable trades has recently led us to acquiring Tahj Ariza, who better fits a realistic timeline for us getting back into the playoff picture. While it’s possible we could have gotten more had we stayed patient and waited through the trade deadline, we are hungry to make moves and want that to be known around the league. Entering the off-season we had Hendricks, Poetl, and Risacher. And while those guys are all good players, if you told me we’d leave the offseason acquiring 5-6 1sts, Jason and Jaxon Richardson, and now flipping a few of those 1sts for another building stone in Ariza - I’d take that any day.

Do you still consider yourself slim, or is it just a username at this point? Great question. 20 years removed from the birth of the nickname I’d still say I keep that shape. Heaviest I’ve ever been but 6’5 200 lbs is not too shabby.

Did you consider keeping Mara or were you always planning on flipping anything you got in FA? We heavily considered keeping Mara but knew the Knicks would come hard for him. Had we ONLY signed Mara, I think it was likely we had kept him long-term. He was worth the contract and would have been the anchor for a young roster. That being said, when Topic and Mara decided to sign together that’s not something we had planned for. Obviously we Topic the offer, but having both those max contracts and needing both those players to play into those deals a bit, it wasn’t the situation we had expected or wanted. When the chance to flip them both and clear all that salary off the books again while adding multiple 1sts and pairing Jaxon Richardson with his pops, it felt like the right move to get us back on track into a longer rebuild plan.
