Heres a top 20 list of my favorites to win MVP. Remember, win % or games played is not factored into these rankings.
20. PG T Haliburton Pacers
19.7 5.4 11.3 1.7 stocks
Haliburton has taken a step back in his scoring due to Cam thomas and embid but hes leading the pacers into the playoffs and currently on pace to break the single season APG record.
19. PG J Mccain Pelicans
24.8 6.2 6.9 2.3 stocks
Mccain is a young stud and is only getting better. Currently leading the Pels to the number 1 seed in the east. I can see him continuing to climb this list as the years progress.
18. PG D Mitchell Clippers
28.4 3.9 6.1 1.9 stocks
Mitchell was a solid additon and has made the clippers very competitive. Hes a FA come seasons end but i can see the clippers trying to bring him back to stay in the playoff picture.
17. SG A Edwards Wolves
28.7 7.8 2.2 1.7 Stocks
Edwards has been a bright spot to what has been a dark few seasons for the wolves. Hes an expiring contract but im shocked no one is trying to go after him. Curious to see where he goes in free agency.
16. SG C Thomas Pacers
31.0 5.8 2.2 1.5 Stocks
Thomas is the leading PPG scorer and is helping the pacers compete in a very tough east. Only 26 years old can we seeing Cam start competing for the PPG single season record in the future?
15. PG I Collier Wizards
22.5 5.5 10.2 2.3 Stocks
Collier is only 23 years old and continues to grow towards one of the leagues best young PGs. Hes got the Wiz in a serious playoff battle in the east and is challenging for best Assist PG in the league.
14. SG DJ Wagner Knicks
28.7 6.2 4 1.9 stocks
Defensively Wagner is just average but you cannot deny the fact hes one of the best offensive guards in the league. Sitting 6th in PPG he continues to grow and be a great scorer in this league.
13. SF K Murray Kings
29.8 7.8 1.6 1.6 Stocks
Wow. Keegan was shot out of a cannon this year and adding 10+ more PPG than any of his current seasons. Hes helping lead the kings to the number 1 overall record in the league.
12. PG SGA Grizzlies
23.6 5.9 10.1 2.4 Stocks
Not much to say besides consistent when it comes to SGA. After a slow start for the Grizz hes helping them climb their way back and now have the number 2 seed in the west.
11. PG X Lee Magic
30.1 4.8 5.2 2.2 Stocks
Next to Mccain as one of the best young cheap PGs in the league, Lee leads the magic in PPG. Once he can raise those assist numbers he will continue to climb this list.
10. T Maxey Sixers
27.1 4.6 9.8 2.1 Stocks
Maxey a former 3 time MVP is no stranger to being here. Hes a multiple time champion as well and may go down as one of the best PGS to play in NBN3.
9. Z Williamson Grizzlies
28.0 12.2 2.5 2.1 Stocks
Another Grizz and our first big man finds his way in the top 10. Zion has really turned his career around since leaving New Orleans and is helping SGA lead the grizz to possibly back to back championships.
8. PG L Ball Hornets
28.7 5.8 8.2 2.3 Stocks
Another team who started off slow but have seemed to turn it around. Ball is one of the best PGs in the league and it shows by how consistent he is. Can the hornets make some noise come playoff time?
7. PG L Doncic Cavs
28.1 5.9 8.5 2.9 Stocks
The man and team that may keep Ball and hornets out is Doncic. The Cavs have done a good job since getting a new GM and now find themselves back in the playoff hunt. The east is a grind but i can see the Cavs putting up a fight in a 7 game series.
6. PG D Fox Kings
29.7 5 8.8 2.2 Stocks
Fox another former MVP is leading the kings next to murray as the top team in the league. Idk who is going to be able to stop this bunch.
5. PG J Morant Lakers
30.0 6.0 8.1 2.0 Stocks
JA has dipped a bit in assisst but has become more of a Scorer this season. He may take a slight step back now that Giddey is here but hes been another great consistent PG in the league.
4. C J Embid Pacers
23.2 14.4 3.8 4.8 Stocks
The third pacer to join the list, Embid has been one of the top bigs in the league and he may be on his way to another defensive player of the year award.
3. PF C Flagg Wizards
25.3 13.1 4.3 3.7 Stocks
Flagg has finally found his way onto the list and cracks the top 3. Just an all around stud, Dash has one of the leagues best young players on his team but he is a FA comes years end. Let the bidding for Flagg begin this offseason but will it at least be after a championship?
2. C N Jokic Sixers
26.3 13.9 4.7 2.4 Stocks
Another former MVP and just edging out our number 1 player. Jokic was a great get for the sixers and was a perfect replacement for embid. Can the Sixers win their fourth title in 5 years?
1. C V Wembanyama Thunder
26.8 14.4 2.6 4.1 Stocks
Now to number 1 and my pick to one this years MVP. Wemby is an all around stud and i think its his time to be the next big man to win the MVP award. Hes leading the OKC Thunder next to a great starting 5 to one of the leagues best records.
