1. What countries or cities have you not been to that would be on your bucket list to visit?
Slim: - African Safari is on the list. Haven’t looked into details of where we’d want to go yet exactly.
- Argentina + Patagonia
- Have a long list after this but those are the top two that came to mind for me.
Cheddar: I would say any country surrounded or abutting to water. I visited Greece a while back and it was beautiful. Off the top of my head Italy and Spain would be two countries high on my list. Here domestically I have not visited California, so I would like to at least travel there once in order to see the sights and say I did it. I would also want to visit Vegas just once for the experience.
Naterade: I really want to go to the Greek Islands. My girlfriends family is from Greece, and I just missed a chance to go with her to a fancy resort somewhere out there (bad with the names lol) but it looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I know the country is suffering from poverty, crime, etc so I wouldn’t care to explore too much, but I really want to experience the beaches and the food.
Zheld: My top 3 would be
1. Japan
2. Fiji
3. Greece
I haven’t been out of the country a lot but I don’t want to go to museums or anything I want to see places that pictures and videos cant possibly do it justice. I like to travel but in order for me to go more than 3-4 days it has to be somewhere epic.
Guins: Definitely Italy and Greece, would love to visit both Countries
Slough: My top 3 would be:
1. Fiji - always loved the water and have always heard great things
2. Ireland - would love to shoot a 120 at an old course. Those bunkers where you take steps down would be the end of me, lol
3. New Zealand - Heard its one of the beautifulness countries in the world.
2. What dream sporting event or events would you love to attend?
Slim: I’d love to see Liverpool play at Anfield, in a big match. I’m a supporter but ideally would love to go with a die hard fan/guide.
Cheddar: I would love to see the Super Bowl while the Commanders are playing in it. Of course this would be a dream, can you reread the sentence I wrote prior to this? That won't happen in my lifetime. Seeing a team USA World Cup match would be pretty cool as well, that might happen with the upcoming World Cup.
Naterade: My lifelong goal is to sit court side at a Celtics game (preferably a playoff game but I’m not a millionaire). We had quarter season tickets when I was a kid with pretty good seats, and ever since then I’ve sat further and further away as the prices have gone up… so I would love to just make it happen and get some photos of me court side for the bucket list.
I would also kill to watch a Super Bowl live. But those prices are OUTRAGEOUS, so that will likely never happen…
Zheld: I would love to attend the Olympics. I know they are going on right now but I cannot imagine training your whole life for a moment in track and field or something and having it last 10 seconds. And if you fuck up you have to wait another 4 years to even try again. I want to experience that level of achievement even if I am just watching it is incredible.
Guins: Have Attended the Super Bowl, World Series and Stanley Cup....would love to go to Augusta for the Masters..Toughest ticket in sports so its said.
Slough: I would say the World Cup, which should be a possibility with it being the US/Canada/Mexico in 2026. The Super Bowl would be fun, but based on prices, its probably better watching at home, unless it would be in Dallas with them in the Super Bowl. Other than that, definitely the Masters would be epic, even if tickets are hard to get.
3. If you were on a deserted island, what breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Dessert could you not live without?
Slim: Brutal question. But high quality sushi and poke are my favorites. I’d probably survive without them but if I could choose lol.
Cheddar:
Breakfast - Bacon
Lunch - Pizza
Dinner - Snow Crab
Desert - Chocolate Chip Cookies
Bacon is like my favorite food in the world. That is easy. Pizza is probably the easiest and quickest meal I could eat, you can switch up the toppings and generally have a different taste pretty regularly. Snow Crab legs would be my choice if I had the opportunity for a last meal. I love them, but that wouldn't be an everyday meal option IMO. Lastly, you can't go wrong with a chocolate chip cookie.
Naterade: Shoot. I would say without any hesitation I would need bacon. I would hopefully be able to land on an island with tiny native pigs so I could sustain a bacon farm, as much as it would break my heart immediately…
Otherwise steak is a major one. Don’t eat it often but I crave it constantly and ball out once in a while on a fancy dinner. So add cows to the hopeful wildlife list or this deserted island…
But honestly, as long as I can not starve I would most likely be ok eating whatever is available to me, but I would need some liquor or weed to mentally get through the isolation. So number 1 priority would be whiskey or rum to make it a beach vacation.
Zheld: Pizza, good Chinese food and pasta. And I would be happily eating pizza for breakfast. I suppose logically I should have some vegetables for sustenance but fuck vegetables gimme the carbs and fatness.
Guins: Breakfast - I love my Sausage or Bacon, Egg and cheese Sliders or Bagels that I make.
Lunch - Grilled or Breaded chicken salad or Sandwich...Love any good chicken!
Dinner - Im Italian,,so any Pasta dish, Stuffed Shells wirh ricotta and spinach, Lasagna, Angel hair with a nice marinara, Pizza, Spaghetti and meatballs with some homemade garlic rolls , or cheesy bread...im in!! Give me Italian..im a Happy man.
Dessert,,,Im a sucker for Ice cream , and Chocolate, Chocolate chip , or a vanilla Fudge..Im content!
Slough:
Breakfast - Definitely Bacon and Country potatoe's
Lunch - Got to go with some Taco's, I make my own that is small flour tortillas that I fry and ground parm cheese on outside, ground beef, refried beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato's, green onions, black olives, sour cream, topped with La Victoria Hot Sauce
Dinner - Hard to not go with a good Mushroom and swiss burger, where I have leftover bacon from breakfast on a nice bun, just mayo or an aiolo, no ketchup, its gross, lol
4. Are you watching the WNBA All-Star vs USA Olympics? What are your thoughts on the popularity of Caitlin Clark selling out arenas?
Slim: Not really honestly. But it’s great for women’s hoops. I’ve definitely watched more over the past year than ever before. But I’d honestly still probably rather watch summer league ball.
Cheddar: I did not watch it. I haven't really ever watched the WNBA and I don't intend to start now to be quite honest. I just don't find the basketball appealing. For those who have been outspoken about women's basketball and growing the game, I would think this would have to be a positive right? But there always seems to be an undertone to it. It isn't being grown the way some may like it to grow, but I would think it is only a positive. To be quite honest though, I really do not care at all.
Naterade: I have not been watching much of the WNBA still. I have a pretty busy schedule so I’m missing most of the sports right now, but I’m trying to make an effort to at least watch the men’s Olympic basketball games whenever possible.
But honestly Clark is awesome. It’s a shame that her fame has turned into a racial issue, because her game is electrifying. She is the reason I watched my first ever women’s college hoops games last year, and I do plan to watch her at some point once she gets her footing and starts lighting up the league. But for now I’ll stick to highlights.
Zheld: Watching the Olympics its once every 4 years I can watch the WNBA next year. I think she is basically Diana Taurasi but with tik tok so she has a following. Same thing with Lebron and now this new generation. Shes not necessarily better but everyone has access to her across social media so they can see how good she is. I think it will happen more and more.
Guins: No im not that interested in that much at all...I think that Caitlyn Clark is great for the game. The youth in General in the WNBA has really electrified the sport.
Slough: I did watch it and was cool to see them beat the Olympic team. I only started watching this year cause of Caitlin and her game is fun to watch. Definitely like a Steph Curry with more passing.
5. Are there any Olympic sports you are wanting to see this year? Name a few and any players you are looking forward to.
Slim: Not a huge Olympics fan tbh. I’m sure once it starts I’ll catch some and lightly follow. Will follow men’s hoops a bit too. I’m a Pacers fan so will be cool to see Haliburton out there again.
Cheddar: I am going to root for the US, but I do not really have any Olympic sport that I am interested in. Track, Swimming, etc. aren't that exciting. I will try to catch some of the basketball games just to see how the team looks. But other than that I do not plan on watching anything unless I stumble across it while just watching TV.
Naterade:
I will say I love that the summer Olympics has a lot of the most popular sports in America in it, and I am excited for all of those.. BUT.. I recently discovered that there is an event calling “Breaking” which is literally just Olympic break dancing. And I desperately want to watch that. No way it’s not entertaining as hell.
Beyond that, I’m a huge basketball fan and I have this weird NBA fanboy excitement to see Old man Curry and Lebron try to lead us to a medal. Plus the team has 3 Celtics on it, and a dearth of talent of guys I love, so realistically this is my top priority this year.
I also am excited to see the beach volleyball for two reasons: Chase Budinger is on the men’s team which is hilarious to me. And I just love Olympic volleyball. The women’s games are a little too exciting but I’m watching for the love of the game more than the bikinis lol
Zheld: Every summer Olympics basketball is my favorite but I am very excited to see simone biles. It always amazes me when an athlete at the highest highest level is so much better than other athletes. The literal best of the best across the world and she is just in a tier herself. She is basically thanos and is inevitable.
Guins: Love the swimming, Gymnastics and track and field. Sports that arent on the TV much accept for during the Olympics.
Slough: Swimming is usually always at the top of the list, basketball is kind of meh to me, but usually put it on. Love watching the soccer, but its not the best players. USA classically gets blown out by Morocco today. I did see that Korean lady that did the shooting competition, that was cool to watch.
6. What do you currently do for a living or if in school what is your major or interests?
Slim: I work for DoorDash corporate. Help manage restaurants on the platform and grow their sales. Its work and comes with eating shit from time to time but overall it’s a good gig. Considering going back to school at some point to get my MBA and change my career trajectory away from sales.
Cheddar: I am a banker, and I honestly just stumbled into it. I started off as a part-time teller for a bank that housed 12 branches. I now manage a branch for a bank that houses 150+ branches. It isn't the most exciting job in the world, but it is flexible and pays the bills. I do have a strong interest in real estate too, I am not far from taking the test to become licensed.
Naterade: I have been in inventory control for the last 10 years or so, fully utilizing that graphic design degree and student debt (smh)… it’s pretty chill work, as most of my days are filled with mindless repetitive tasks to let me listen to podcasts or music, and occasionally I get to flex the problem solving and logic abilities when I have an issue to research. But it’s a solid job since I work for a great company who pays and treats us well. (And feeds us a ton of free food)
Zheld: I am a pediatric psychologist and work in a hospital. I make naterade call me doctor. Outside of work I like sports and watching movies and sleeping
Guins: Im a Chef / Food and Nutrition Director for a Large School District just outside of Pittsburgh.
Slough: Currently consulting and in between jobs. Been in the Natural Foods CPG space for 12 years prior with all sorts of roles, where I worked at Chosen Foods, then recently manage trade for 25 clients (was a kobiyashi Maru, no win situation for goals ) Interests are I do love cooking, would love to own my own food truck or small spot one day, probably a pipe dream as its a super hard industry to make a very good profit. Covid really kind of made it more a pipe dream as all of a sudden you lose a business just like that, crazy.
7. Name the current book if reading or your top 3 favorite books you have read and why?
Slim: Recently read “House on the Cerulean Sea” which was a fun and easy read. Haven’t picked up a new one yet.
Cheddar: Rich Dad, Poor Dad: I don't necessarily agree with all of the authors techniques, but I do agree with the principle of the book of becoming financially independent.
Quiet Strength: Dungy is an awesome human being and outstandingly accomplished. Reading any information from him can only help you improve as a person.
The Mamba Mentality: An insight into what drove Kobe to become the player and person he was is astounding. To read exactly his thoughts and the different views/ reasons he had for his accomplishments was top tier.
Naterade: I’m currently re-reading a book called Dark Matter - which was just made into a TV show. I started it years ago and was HOOKED, but once I got towards the end, the virtual rental expired and I never got around to finishing it, which is actually insane because the story is wild and was PEAKING when I stopped. It was just laziness that prevented me from going back to it, but I’m finally on it. Highly recommend though it’s a really cool concept, if you can stomach multiverse plots after marvel has been overplaying their hand with it lately. Dark matter does it in a really cool and unique/ dark way
Zheld: Currently I am reading a biography of George Washington. I like history books. Top 3 books are:
1. Anything by Andy Weir (particularly the martian and project hail mary)
2. The emperor of all maladies
3. A short history of nearly everything
The Andy Weir books are incredible science fiction based in real science. The emperor of all maladies is an amazing book about the history of cancer and cancer in medicine and a short history of nearly everything is just that and has a bunch of stuff that you did not learn in school
Guins: a few books from Anthony Bourdain
Sammy "The Bull" Gravano's Book i just finished
Love Bourdain..and a good Mafia Book always catching my Attention.
Slough: Top 3 been reading recently
1. Recursion - Blake Crouch, I loved Dark Matter
2. Pariah - started this recently in the 3 book serious by two first names Anthony Ryan
3. Wayward Pines Trilogy - Also by Blake Crouch
Side note: Been listenting to the David Croggins story, pretty inspiring
8. What music are you currently listening too lately and who are you all time top 5 favorites?
Slim: - I listen to a lot of old school hip hop and rap, some rock and edm/house, kind of all over the place but:
- 1. Kendrick
- 2. Tame Impala
- 3. Kaytranada
- 4. Atmosphere
- 5. The White Stripes
Cheddar: I have always been a hip-hop/rap fan. The top five artists I have enjoyed in my lifetime are:
1. Eminem
2. Lil Wayne
3. Kanye
4. Biggie
5. Nelly
Again this is my personal preference, not who I think are the top 5 rappers of all time. Mainly just the bug names I listened to while growing up. There are so many more, but this would is my list off of the top of my head.
Naterade: Man… I’m all over the place with music but lately, I’ve been alternating between the combo of Kendrick, Logic, Webby, and Joyner Lucas, with a sprinkle of NF when I want some hip hop. And then on the other side I’ve been doing some like white boy throwback punk rock vibes with All Time Low and Blink 182 who just released new albums this year… and then the OTHER side I have been loving some Escale the Fate when I just want to fuckin scream in the car and chill out.
Top 5 artists is tough for me… I’m such a playlist over albums guy so I love a lot of random shit. Let me do my best here with some variety, in no particular order:
Pink Floyd
Ripe
Joyner Lucas (new album is fire)
Kid Cudi
Four Year Strong
Zheld: Not trying to cop out but currently am very into basketball podcasts specifically the Lowe Post which I very much enjoy. I like Tracy Chapman but really only listen when I am driving to work and its all podcasts right now. But can highly recommend that podcast
Guins: Currently im Listening to some Gojira after i saw them perform at the Olympics Opening ceremony.
I love all Genres of Music
Frank Sinatra
Biggie Smalls
New Edition
Van Halen
Metallica
probably are my top 5
Slough:
Currently my top 5 would be:
1. Eminim
2. Garth Brooks
3. Fleetwood Mac
4. George Strait
5. The Offspring
Really hard list to make, I could easily add 2pac and Biggie, not to mention Metallica, Van Halen, Led Zepplin, the list could go on for days as I listen to a lot of music
