There was the update with last night's sum. Draft has about 40 names in it. Should finish the names today and then get into some balancing and edits. Hope to start the draft on Tuesday. I don’t really get why you would need to balance the draft, I thought that’s the risk with declarations, if a class is absolutely stacked then so be it and if there’s a class with majority of em busts then so be it as well. I do two different types of balancing. The first is within the class. It's more like just checking my work and making sure I didn't make someone in a way that I didn't intend. Does someone look better than Shaq or Wilt when they are intended to be the top picks? That's mostly the type of stuff I'm doing, trying to hone and edit guys into the way I want them to look and how my brain intended for this class to set up. I also balance things with set guidelines to try and prevent inflation. I try to limit B- outside and rebounding. Both are important to make sure we don't lose the value that scoring and dominant bigs bring because the more leagues get inflated the harder it is to make truly standout bigs. I'm doing less of that this class as I stated clearly in a previous post because of the strength of the class but I still want to do some of it so Wilt and Shaq standout among bigs. Far less balancing this draft in this regard but it's still something I do. Well blow past the balancing ratios I've been trying to keep this year and that's fine. This is a historic class. Id rather take the time to make the class right than rush something out. I enjoy doing it too. |
