Just got laid off/fired on Friday. On the same day I was moving out of my apartment and moving across state and dealing with a physical injury on my legs. Bosses found the most insane reasons to drop me. I.E. said I somehow under-performed when I turned in a coding assignment 10 hours ahead of schedule. Or the time they said I'm not "proactive" for not responding to an email while I was attending physical therapy, which I told them about way ahead of time.
The fact I moved out Wednesday night and they made me get a hotel room to show up to the office (to fire me) was batshit insane. Everyone still on the team is pissed and thinks I was treated so inhumanely they're thinking of now leaving.
It was funny watching my bosses ignore me 2-3 days entirely, avoiding any eye contact. Mind you, I thought I had a strong relationship with higher ups.
When they gave me 2 hours to off-board and do all my 401k, etc, I found the off-boarding tasks were created 8-9 days before I was fired Friday. If they always planned on firing me, they could have just told me, but they made me jump through ridiculous hoops for 2+ months.
Anyways, I'm pretty depressed/stressed about the whole thing and would like some time to myself.
