Here we are again talking the shit, since it's been a while.
Slough: What is your thoughts on this current offseason? Any number of moves you thought were bad or good?
Yourkers: Yeah a move i hated was the warriors moving the Nets pick for toohey and Rowe. I just don't get the deal for the Warriors. Rebuilding team that traded away a top asset for bench players. It's just an awful deal for the Warriors franchise and the knicks come out on top easily in this deal.
A move i loved was grabbing AJ in FA. At 23 and with great ratings he fits my teams time line and puts me back in win now mode. Pairing him with Mintz will be fun all year.
Why did you trade the number 1 pick? Do you feel that you got enough back in return?
Another interesting choice was Bowie over Sampson. What was the reason behind that?
Slough: I traded the #1 pick cause I thought I had a good enough team with more players filling it out. I think it was a good deal especially with how deep the class was. I like Burns and I was hoping to land Bowie all along to be honest. I also think the other 1sts I got such as landing Googs and the futures can keep me in contention for awhile as well that I got.
I liked Sampson and if I was around would have traded up to get him to pair with Bowie, which have been nice. I think Bowie is the more complete player in my opinion vs Sampson, but I love Ralph as well.
How do you feel about the most recent classes? Are there any players you would love to have for how deep they have been?
Any other future players hoping to land in the future from upcoming classes?
Yourkers: Yeah I would have loved to add was Penny. Just wasn't worth the price to get that number 1 pick to add him. I even tried to add World B Free. Just no luck there. Also Bowie is another guy i would have taken. Man got a bad rap because of MJ but he was a stud. Just injuries fucked him over. Hopefully he has a good NBN career.
The main guy i will be going after is Len Bias. I will do my best to land him and build him to be the star he was expected to. Man was such a force sad we never got the chance to see his true talents playing next to Larry Bird. Would have been legendary.
Burns didn't have a good TC. Do you feel that will hurt him or will he be just fine? Same goes for Cody Williams. Will he still be that stud we saw the last couple of years?
Who is your biggest challenge in the central division?
Slough: I think both Burns and Cody will be fine. Burns already showing what I expected from him starting and not an option, it will suck if he takes a Sengun dive on stats like he did for me. As long as the statistics are there I will be fine. As far as Cody he just didn't jump or go down, he was always the same with ratings, but its again about the stats that they put up. I'm not worried for any player at the moment. Some players get flashy ratings and don't deliver, some don't and deliver, fun part of FBB.
In the Central, probably myself . It's an interesting division I will say with the move the Hornets just made and of course your Raptors. It is a very young division in my opinion, so you never know what teams will do on a whim or play. I like my chances though
What are your thoughts of the health of the league and how it is going? We have had an influx of new gm's where they may be active or kind of busy, how would you rank some of the new gm's in the last few months?
What is your thoughts on Rog simming weekends? (I personally love it and helps out Silver)
Yourkers: Feel the health of the league is in a good place. We have a lot of activity and old heads that stayed around. The new guys have given a new freshness that was needed. So overall I feel we are in a great place adding we have the best commish out there.
I am not really keeping tabs on how some of the new guys are doing overall but I will say I am glad they are here and are apart of this great league.
Oh its great and keeps the league running on a 7 day basis which i love. Sometimes i don't like how it sims lmao but hey gotta love it sometimes. Anything to keep things rolling.
Who do you see being the team to beat this year? Is it still rog or had a new team found themselves in an amazing spot? How bout them Cowboys? You must be a happy camper with how things are playing out. If you were gm what would you be doing to help the Cowboys out?
Slough: For now I think its between Rog and Silver, But UC in the West and I think you and I can battle with Rog in the East, not to mention the Sixers, but we shall see.
I know you too well, I was waiting for a Cowboys slight, to be honest, I hope they lose and hire either Billichick or Ben Johnson, not to mention hey Dak you want that much money, don't expect to win, it so sad. Why Mahomes, Brady, etc are great. You can't pay anyone. Probably better once Jerry dies and stops paying players so much. I probably deleted a few sentences cause I can go on lol.
If I was the gm I wouldn't have paid Dak that much money, got better oline, signed Derrick Henry and run the damn ball. I am a firm believer of building a team from the ball out, so Oline/Dline and go from there. Coach Prime and his son our next team next year
How you feeling with your Packers? Love seems like you landed the next QB in the history, think he is the next Rodgers or Favre? What about your Fighting Irish, kind of up and down, think they can make a run?
Yourkers: I am really happy with the Packers. Our defense has been really good which it hasn't played this well in such a long time. It has helped cover Love and his int issue this year. But with that I do think love is that next guy but might not be all worldly like Rodgers and Favre were. But its cool that he is like a mix of them both which is fun to see. Just wish he could stay healthy and not turn the ball over.
The Irish have been great outside of that one blunder of a game we had. Leonard has been much better as a passer and is an elite running qb. Our defense is always top of the line and if we can continue to be balanced with the run pass with our defense we will be tough to beat. We just can't go out there and beat ourselves.
Do the chiefs go out there and 3 Peat even with mahomes having the worst year of his career so far?
If not who do you see being the team to take them down?
Election is right around the corner and this seems like a big one. Is the world in deep shit right about now? Are we going to elect a felon but not allow ones who come out of prison to get an ordinary job?
Slough:
I don't know for sure since its so hard to win in the NFL, but I do think they either lose in the AFC or win the 3-peat if make it to the Superbowl. I just don't think there is an NFC team to beat them, and they are gamers even if offense is playing bad, which a good offense is a good defense.
I actually think the Ravens can finally take them down with the moves they made and if they trust the running game with Henry(Wish Cowboys took and didn't pay Dak 60 mil)
The world has been in deep shit for years, the talking heads its bs, it starts from the bottom up, so I don't like either person, and its dumb if a potential felon is going to be elected and exonerate himself lol.
Last questions:
What are your thoughts on upcoming election?
Thoughts on status of the top sports?
Are you going to any of the 2026 World Cup games?
What are the best places to get a quick eat in the East Coast now that I have partake in Bagel, Dog, Slice of Pie
Yourkers: I'm kind of over this election and can't wait for it to be over. It is really crazy that a guy who is a convicted felon has a chance to be president and that seems crazy when most felons can't get a regular job. Let's just allow one to be at the head of the table though. Fun logic right there.
I think sports in general have gotten too soft and that they are made to generate offense and nothing more. But I guess that is what sells and it seems to be working seeing how much money has been offered as contracts. So I would say sports is in a very good place as long as the product keeps selling like it does.
As for the world cup I don't know if I will actually go and see it in person. It would be a very cool experience but not sure if I'll be up for it or have people that will really want to go and be there. Ticket prices will always matter. Because is the experience always worth it if you really can't see?
I would go to katz deli and woh hop. Artichoke pizza is worth the try. I'm not the crazy dining type so might be the wrong person to really ask when it comes to things like this. Good talk like always
