1. With Season 9 officially beginning, what are your expectations after going 7-1?
My expectations every season are to win 50 games. I have a streak that I am trying to continue and won't stop trying until its broken. I expect to be a top 3 seed and hope to get some playoff luck
2. You made some nice deals in the offseason to grab Trey Alexander and Dick Barnett, how happy are you with them so far and what do you believe Barnett's ceiling may be?
Dick is a developmental project as a late 20s pick. I'm hoping he can give me some 6th man minutes and eventually grow into a starter. Has a well rounded game. Not relying on him much this season.
I'm really happy with Trey so far. Historically he's not the scorer that Brunson was but he brings much better defense and ball handling. If he can score 23ppg on 45% shooting, I'll be very happy.
3. Are there any additional moves you are trying to make for this season?
I would like add a legit backup 2/3, but that will need to wait until D60. I am cap strapped currently. I love Booker as my backup big. We'll see if Knight can be a legit backup PG. I'm good with my starters though
4. Who do you think needs to take the extra step in order for your team to play even better?
I either need Trey to be a legit #2 option or I need to lean into defense and slow the games down
5. Do you ever see yourself trading Monte Levya?
Nope
6. Besides my Knicks, is there any other team that has surprised you so far this season?
Kings at 2-3? They had to play Wemby twice and Celtics, but still never expect to see them under .500.
7. My New York Knicks are currently 6-1, do you think we might actually be good or is it a fluke?
Fluke. You are at 18 TOPG and somehow have a .464 FG% that isn't sustainable with this roster
8. My LA Lakers in real life started the season 3-0 and are now 3-2, do you think Lakeshow are back or were the first 3 games a fluke?
Back as in a borderline playoff team? Sure. They are not a title contender though
9. Who do you think currently has the best chance to win the championship this year and why? (NBN and NBA)
I hate the Celtics so I will refuse to give them credit. Gimme OKC in the NBA
For NBN, if it's not me I hope the Jazz can get one. He has built a really nice team and Wemby should have a title
10. Which team do you think will be a force in the league in the next 2-3 years that isn't a force already? (NBN and NBA)
NBN - Celtics are positioned very well. I really liked the Nets, but losing AJ hurts. If the Bucks can find a young PG they should be setup to be a monster.
NBA has to be the Spurs right?
11. With us fully into retro now, who is your favorite retro player yet to enter the league and why?
Marques Haynes. Hopefully he'll come in next year and I can get him. Otherwise Grant Hill was a favorite of mine growing up. Dwyane Wade obviously. Will we ever get George Yardley again Rog
12. Boston Celtics (naterade) won GMOTY last season, who do you think is in the early running this season?
