1. With Season 9 officially beginning, what are your expectations after going 3-2?
I expect to win the central division. Feel i have enough talent to go and grab the 2nd seed and the division. Mintz and AJ will be an amazing 1-2 punch and DC will take that next step in his game before he becomes a true star next year. I like the makeup of the team and think we aren't far off from being a true contender.
2. You had a really good free agency picking up AJ Dybantsa and Carlton Carrington, do you think they have what it takes to lead you far into the playoffs this year?
I think we are a year away. DC is still not the player i expect him to be. Even with the really good additions it took us losing Jokic and Doncic to get those players. So addition by subtraction and those 2 players are not easy to replace. We are young and still have growth before we take that next step and being true contenders.
3. If anything, what do you think your team is missing the most?
Rebounding and a true PG. I like my PG to not turn the ball over too much and be efficient as a scorer and with DC only being a fringe B rebounder we will struggle there. Ayton and Williams should help but could always use more rebounding.
4. Who do you think needs to take the extra step in order for your team to play better?
Take care of the basketball and be more efficient. If Carrington/James can be a reliable passer and Mintz gets rolling and becomes the efficient 25+ scorer i see him as we will for sure be playing better then around. 500 basketball. We are just better for sure. But we are staying slow and hopefully sooner than later we pick it up.
5. You have your pick this year and besides AJ and Mintz you don't have anything great around them, why not just try to tank one year while you have your pick like I wanted to?
DC isn't great? I would disagree but for tanking properly I would need to trade those 2 and go all out tank but too many teams are going that route so it makes it hard to tank properly. So I will take what I can get and go from there.
6. My New York Knicks went 4-1 in sim 1, do you think we might actually be good or is it a fluke?
I really can't take it seriously. Too much youth and soon enough the fire will die down and you will settle into middle of the pack team. But you could sneak into the playoffs if for somehow this is real.
7. My LA Lakers in real life are currently 3-1, do you think Lakeshow are back or is it a fluke?
As long as lebron and AD are healthy the Lakers will always have a chance to be successful. So I think its real and feel they just need to measure Lebron and AD time so they can be fresh or at least healthy once playoffs start.
8. Who do you think currently has the best chance to win the championship this year and why?
I am going to go the celtics. Feel SJ coming over and Stockton taking that next step will make them hard to beat. They are just so well rounded and not really any hole on their team and when you add that their best two players are on rookie deals that's just scary for years to come
9. Which team do you think will be a force in the league in the next 2-3 years that isn't a force already?
Pelicans. Slough knows how to put a team together and once he on a mission he will not stop till he gets his team right and will be a good time for awhile till he gets bored.
10. With us fully into retro now, who is your favorite retro player yet to enter the league and why?
Manu ginobili. He's my favorite player and can't wait to get him and build a team around him.
11. Boston Celtics (naterade) won GMOTY last season, who do you think is in the early running this season?
Funny enough it will probably be you if this crazy run continues. With that team and with how you're playing i would put you in the front right now.
