Just a couple questions for everyone...
1) What do you guys think should be the threshold for Hall of Fame? A simple majority? A set number of votes(say 15?) Or a certain percentage, say 60%?
2) Since I'm relatively new to the league and don't have any idea what happened really before my time in the league, do you guys have any players from when y'all stopped doing hall of fame voting till now that should get a write up? If so, can you give me a link to the players page so I can have something to work on. No promises they all get up this off season, but will work on them over the regular season too if need be.

We should start with 5 being inducted this season to add in all the previous years, then 4, then 3, then 2, then 1 and every 3 years we do 2. And we should do whoever has the most votes at the end of the voting period.

I think a certain percentage would be better. Personally, I do not like the idea of certain number of votes, like it was before, because as we know some GMs won't vote and then no one will be inducted.
I have not been here that long either, but going off of the players that retired each year may be a good start and the links to each index are all below the shoutbox. In the index, you can find the stats, etc.

Did see the archived seasons. I'll probably get a few up tonight as I organize the subforum and move stuff around, but no promises.

Def has to be percentage. Not many people would vote. I also think you should come up with a criteria to what can get someone in the hall of fame. Also need something on how long a guy can stay on the list. Just things to think about.

I feel everyone will have a different idea of what is Hall of Fame worthy and thats part of the fun and why I'll post a full on article style thread/vote instead of just saing "Vote". I'll give people the facts, and its to your distinction if the case is good enough or just not enough. And idk why people wouldn't vote, free cash no? Even if its $25. My plan on the bottom is setting a criteria to where a player is set aside for a weaker year, like lets say we say we set the percentage at 60%, if a player gets that they are enshrined into the HOF. 40% gets a player to be revoted in a future year with a weaker class. And anything below that a player is removed from ever being considered again. Just as an example.

Cuz I would hate to see like 100 people in consideration. N even last time it was done not many cared to vote which is why it got stopped. Person didn't want to put in the effort if only like 5-8 people just voting. You also have some people who only look at certain areas of the board and forget bout the rest. The weaker class thing is interesting but I would feel that there could be years where no one could/should get voted. Making it more realistic.

I'm looking at the last few classes and like last year for example this is all I'm gonna write up for: Reitired 2011 Steve Nash Shareef Abdur-Rahim Marcus Camby Antoine Walker Tim Duncan I'll make a judgement call based on their stats if they deserve a writeup or not. And yeah, if a class is weak enough that no one gets voted in, I'm fine with that too.

Lots of people voted when it was done properly and only one class was brought up each year with a good write-up about each candidate. We had 20 votes each time when bigthunder was doing it. We didn't get any votes when someone went through like 5 years all at once and just threw up like 20 polls at once. I don't think we're going to have any trouble getting a solid amount of votes with the way rog is going to do it.

May start off kinda big with trying to do some catch up but nothing close to 20 at one time. Will probably try to work through 4 or 5 at a time with them going somewhat quick and writing some during the season too, but yeah after the start it'll only be that class or if not that big will revote on fringe guys from the past. Probably 5 or 6 at the very most a year.
