The 33rd nominee of the NBN Hall of Fame is the only true lock of the 2010 class. Chris Webber was a stud in every way. Truly the only question here is whether or not he has a case for best big of all time. Lets take a look at his astonishing career.

Arguments For Induction
- I mean look at that list just above, is there any doubt? Just going through some of that, a fucking small forward won three MVPs in FBB? What? Also, Chris Webber made An All-Star game EVERY SINGLE FUCKING YEAR, how?!??! Some years guys have injuries, some early season crazy run by someone, team doesn't play enough games, but no if there was a season, Chris Webber was in the All-Star Game. How is that even possible?! He even won an MVP for those All-Star games. Remember I said All-Star every year? He was also an All-Leaguer every year as well, making six first teams, four second teams, and a third team. Literally every season, he was a top 3 player at his position. Hell every season but one he was a top 2, and over 50% of his career he was the flatout best player. That is insane. In all but two seasons, nine total, he was also an All-Defensive player as well, seven of those as the best defensive player at his position. He also won an unprecedented, unbreakable, un-fucking-thinkable five defensive player of the years, including four in a row, and five in six years. Oh and he won two titles and a playoff MVP as well. Remember the last article where I said it was incredible that G-Rob won a player of the month and a handful of player of the weeks as a non guard in FBB? Webber just won 31 player of the weeks and 8 player of the months, and laughed. The most evil laugh you've ever heard.
- Okay after that monstrosity of a paragraph, an absolute assault on English it was that long, lets look at the finer details of Webbers case. Wait there isn't anything "fine" about Webbers case, its so fucking in your face, pay attention to me, I'm smoking fucking hot and you will pay attention. Lets just start talking about aspects of basketball and Webber was probably elite at it, literally every aspect. Webber was an outstanding scorer. He averaged 23.5 PPG for his career, an incredible number for a big. In his best years, Webber was a 24-25 point guy. Oh and did I mention he shot the ball well? of course he did, hes fucking perfect. He shot 46.5% from the field in a game where that is insane for a scoring big. Oh and 80% from the line and could shoot the ball from 3 here and there, because when you make the perfect player Chris Webber's name is on the title. He is currently 19th in points, and probably was top 13-15 when he retired.
- Lets try to have a shorter paragraph this time talking about perfec.. I mean Chris Webber this time okay? Webber was an outstanding rebounder, like probably the best rebounder of all time. His 13.9 a game for his career would have been 4th in the league this year. I repeat: his career rebounding number would be elite in this league right now. To put this into crazy perspective, Dwight Howard(13.8), Roy Hibbert(13.6), Andre Drummond(13.5), Peter John Ramos(13.7), and Marc Gasol(12.7) are all in their primes, elite bigs who haven't had an end of their career slowdown(not that Webber even flirted with that) yet, and their career rebounding averages aren't as good as Webbers. Oh and Webber is 4th alltime in rebounds, despite retiring two seasons ago. Probably was 1st when he retired, but I'm not sure. Actually looking, Duncan was, then Webber.
- Whoops, got as long winded on that last one as well. Lets try again. Webber was probably the best defens... fuck it, Webber was the greatest defensive player in the league history. There I said it. He averaged 3.5 blocks a game and 1.4 steals a game. Thats 4.9 stocks a game. Sorry I just orgasmed a little on that one. As said, he made an All-Defensive every season he was here and won five DPOYs while here. Is that ever even going to be matched? I'd like to imagine not, but Hibbert is 27 and has 3 now. Maybe. Webber is 3rd alltime in blocks.
- That was a little better. Webber was also an awesome passer. Why wouldn't he be! He averaged 4.5 for his career, and flirted with 5 a game several times in his career. For perspective, the best passing big in the league right now is probably Marc Gasol, who has a career average of 3.6. Webber might be the best passing big of alltime, I don't think there is any question actually.
- Webber won two titles and was in the finals a third time. All with the Grizzlies. How did the Grizzlies only win two titles with literal perfection on their roster for so long? Baffling.
- Overall, there isn't a case where Webber isn't enshrined. In fact, I spent enough time above that I'm flat out not going to write reasons against. Thats just blasphemous. Hes one of the best scoring bigs, if not the best, of all time. Hes the best rebounder in league history, besides maybe Duncan. He is the most decorated player of all time, and in terms of percentages of years with awards, may never be matched let alone topped. This was the guy you didn't want to play in the leagues, because he was gonna fuck up your world. This is the literal definition of the perfect big, able to score, defend, rebound, pass, and stretch the floor a bit. He only retired when he did to spare the league from total domination by a 40 year old. He didn't want the youngsters to feel bad about getting their ass whooped by an old man. He wasn't done, no where near close. Did I mention he only missed 23 games his entire career? How do you even manage that. Man, what a player.
Arguments Against Induction
- You're stupid and deserve to be fired. There is no case against. None. Stop reading, go vote yes, collect $25. And then tell me why this isn't he best big of all time, because there is no case I feel where Webber isn't the best big ever.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully!
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $25 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $25***
