The 77th nominee of the NBN Hall of Fame was an all time great rebounder and scorer and a definite Hall of Famer. The question for this thread isn't so much as "is Carlos Boozer a Hall of Famer" as, "is Carlos Boozer the best power forward of all time?" Lets take a look.

Arguments for Induction
- Carlos Boozer played in 7 All-Star games and was named to an All-League Third Team as well.
- Boozer is almost unarguably the greatest rebounder in league history. He averaged 12.2 RPG in his career but played the final three years off the bench, and a 4th and 5th not being at top level. He was CONSTANTLY over 13 rebounds a game and mostly over 13.5 as well. He finished his career tops league history in rebounds. Its hard to deny a player who was best in the league's history in such a vital statistic, right?
- Also a crazy good scorer, averaging over 21 points a game despite playing less than 33 minutes a game in his career. In his prime he was a 25+ per game scorer who reached above 28 in a couple years. He was also one of the more efficient scoring bigs in the league's history as well, meaning the shots he took were good shots and he scored crazy high volume as well. Shooting 47% from the field and 90% from the line. He made the most free throws in league history as well. Again, hard to deny someone from the Hall of Fame who finished 1st in something so important.
- A lot of these counting stats come down to the fact that he played 20 seasons in his career and was so good for so long. He was 1st in rebounds, 1st in free throws, 8th in scoring, 1st in double doubles. Again, how do you deny someone who was so high on so many lists? For 12 seasons he was good for 24 points, 13 rebounds, 2 stocks, under 2 turnovers shooting 47% from the field and 90% from the line. Thats a crazy long time for a guy who could be argued as having the statline of a top 4 or 5 player at his position.
- Overall, its absolutely insane to think that Boozer is not a Hall of Famer. Its just not possible of a case to make. He was insanely good for a long, long time. Played in a lot of All-Star Games, was dangerous to take over a series and win it by himself. Never won any titles but he played for a number of contenders and was arguably his best player on those teams. He was fantastic.
Arguments Against Induction
- There really isn't a whole lot to be said here, lets start with his lack of awards. A lot of All-Star Games, sure, not enough All-League teams though. Hard to make the case he was as good as he was if couldn't even make more than 1 All-League team.
- Other than scoring and rebounding, what else did he do? Seriously? Was a mediocre at best defender and an even worse passer. He was an elite scorer and an even better rebounder, but is that enough honestly?
- Lastly, all of his stats aren't elite average wise, they were good but all of his top level numbers are because of playing 20 seasons, note because he was an elite performer at those positions. He was good, but was he THAT good?
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $25 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $25***
