A decorated point guard and former MVP, the first half of the decade at the beginning of the league was absolutely spectacular for Young. Will this be enough for him to get into the NBN Hall of Fame?

Arguments For Induction
- Trae was undoubtedly an elite scorer for quite a while and was always a threat to dominate a game. 12 years of 23+ PPG including 10 straight to start his career. Young did everything asked of him and more offensively.
- While the turnovers were high, he was a very quality passer for a large chunk of his career. He passed the ball very well and was commonly a top 10 APG player as a starter including a few 10+ APG guys.
- Consistency! Trae had five All-League years in a row, 7x All-Star, and won the MVP award in 2023. As a Nugget, there was nobody who shot and scored more than Trae and frankly, it's shocking he was never a champion. I think Trae's career and percentages (.473/.818/.422) should put him over the edge.
Arguments Against Induction
- A big turnover guy, Trae had 3,785 turnovers over his career which is likely up there in terms of the all-time leader. As a PG, he passed well and got a ton of assists, but also turned the ball over quite a lot in his strongest years.
- No Championship is going to make Trae feel more forgettable than he was. While he fell off as the league progressed a bit, he was still a high-value player who produced, but he never had the success in the playoffs and that's a big L around here.
- Is Trae a good enough defender to be respected as a Hall of Fame level player? He got a good amount of steals but he was never a tier-A defender as a guy who topped out as a B-/B level defender which was a semi liability in the position.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $100 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $100***
