One of the original elite bigs of the league, Deandre Ayton walked away at the prime age of 37 after over 1,300 games played, the majority of which he started AND got double doubles in. Will this be enough for him to get into the NBN Hall of Fame?

Arguments For Induction
- I mean, the guy played 1,300 games and averaged 19.4/12.7/2.5 stocks on 45.4% from the field as a big... pretty solid. Ayton's like some of the other bigs who have come up in recent classes, as a strong player who dominated early on and as the league began to inflate with talent a slight bit, still hung on but wasn't as productive due to the league turning into a very heavy shooting league. You can't complain about his production, though, as he was good until the very end.
- 8x All-Star, 2x All-Leaguer with 922 double doubles which is currently the record throughout the league. The guy put up numbers and while there were other bigs with either more volume or a better career in terms of being a consistent mainstay for a contender, Ayton was always going to score and grab boards along the way to an absolutely magnificent career.
- Ayton was a pretty high mark of efficiency through his career, as a solid free throw shooter, efficient scorer (46-47% throughout his starting years), and 14 years of 11.8 or more rebounds including about a decade of 13+ RPG's. The guy did everything asked of him and was incredibly productive.
Arguments Against Induction
- Knowing the league, it's going to come down to how people feel about his stocks or lack thereof them from time to time. For most of his career, he was a sub 3 stock defender and struggled to get blocks which is wild considering he's 6'11 260 and a pretty quality all around player.
- Not much in terms of awards and no title. While he was a consistent All-Star, he struggled to make the All-League because of guys like Mitchell Robinson, Jarrett Allen, Karl-Anthony Towns, etc. all being part of the era of dominance. Two All-League thirds are nice, but you'd expect more out of a Hall of Famer.
- Again, this boils down to "Hall of Very Good" or "Hall of Fame". Ayton was a terrific player but is he productive enough for everyone to vote him in? That's for you to decide.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $100 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $100***
