Giannis Antetokounmpo steps up after coming just one vote shy of making the Hall of Fame the first time around. Will history be on his side or will he once again come up short in his campaign?

Arguments For Induction
- So, there's DEFINITELY a difference in how the league feels at this point with big men going into the Hall and I think Antetokounmpo's case compares pretty favorably to the competition who has gone in since his initial vote TEN seasons ago. Giannis is one of the most efficient offensive bigs we've and he had tricks in his bag as a guy who could stretch the floor or dominate you in the paint.
- Had Giannis not ended up on the bench for the end of his career, he would've been looked at much more favorably. As a starter, he put up 21.2 PPG, 12.7 RPG, 4.4 APG, 3.1 StocksPG which is what I'd consider pretty high-tier production across the board for a big man, but as a lot of guys do ended up spending the end of his career out of the starting rotation on mediocre teams for a mentor.
- Giannis appeared in six different All-Star Games and won the MVP in 2021 on top of five All-League Appearances (two All-League 2nds, three all-League 3rds), which is close to on-par for what you'd expect out of a big, especially at the power forward position. He definitely benefits from playing a position without much historically strong depth as the center position is way, way stronger.
Arguments Against Induction
- As mentioned in the first thread, the lack of the ring is going to hurt his case, although it probably wasn't due to lack of trying. Giannis spent multiple years on the contending Bucks but couldn't manage to figure out how to win the final series of the playoffs, unfortunately for him.
- He had serious turnover problems at times for a guy at his position although the volume does make it a little more understandable. Being a 3-ish TOPG guy was clearly his biggest fault as he was pretty quality elsewhere.
- Giannis was a good 6th man off the bench at the end of his career but it's hard to rationalize Hall of Famers who spent a lot of time on the bench in some situations. I'm not sure if this is one of them given the dominance of his prime and the quality stack of awards, but it's definitely something to consider.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $100 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $100***
