The point remains that a new gm rather will have his picks and cash then a 32 y. I traded Sarr and that Blazers pick for Tatum+ Zubac also in the believe it was a good rebuilder forthe Blazers and a season later this...
Once again i feel interims are using those teams as their 2 team to wheel and deal with.

With 4-5 teams we’ll have a plethora of options for a new GM to choose from. Pick the Blazers if you want a competitive team. Take Bucks/Nugggets if you want to rebuild. Suns are ine middle. |

Once again i feel interims are using those teams as their 2 team to wheel and deal with. I wheel and deal with my own team so that line isn't fitting. I just added JHS to the roster. Gives me 4 legit young options on the team next to Sarr/Scoot/Bufkin. If I don't get JHS I don't make this move and I sit there and hopefully we suck and get a nice pick. But odds are it's a late lotto which does nothing for the team. Giannis will give me a big the team lacks and a mentor for Yang who would get a nice +5 boost to hopefully take a nice jump. This is what I see and not here just wheeling and dealing. |

What is next? A final between team A and team B from the same Gm? Also people have preference in trading partners so also this influences the league when having 2 teams to deal with. I dont think anyone should be runnning 2 teams

So what about celtics and other teams that have a gm but.... What is you solution. Give the 7-8 active gms each 4 teams so teams dont die? |

Tbh I gave this a 60-40 odds it'd get shot down. Moving two picks at once makes things difficult. Biggest issue is there being no young bigs on the Blazers in which it could be justified using a Giannis mentor camp as a key part of the trade.

I dont think anyone should be runnning 2 teams We need activity and it sucks to have teams with no gm's on one hand, but I have always been against trading 1sts as an interim gm to what Van mentions. It's really a no win at the moment with so many interim gm's at the moment. I agree having your 1sts unless there is some crazy prospect is at minimum good in acquiring a new gm so they can make their team as they want. I also agree some do have preference in trading partners, I don't think it's this deal in particular, but it's been coming up quite a bit lately. I will say, Silver and I barely deal, and we are best friends lol. |

I rather have 2 active teams to trade with instead of 0. Thats all it is. If theres less teams to deal with it starts getting really dry.
I get where you guys are saying interim GMs shouldnt deal picks but it also in this situation makes it difficult. At the end of the day declining this deal just shows that we aren't gonna let Blazers compete in the league

If I had 2 Blazers 1sts, I would move them both for Giannis, even with the current Blazers roster... West is not good that pick shouldnt be good but they are adding Giannis to it... I like it.... I like trades.
