My specific opinion may be different than others, but I'm willing to die on the hill that Vern Mikkelsen was one of the most unappreciated bigs in recent NBN history. Will this be enough for him to get into the NBN Hall of Fame?

Arguments For Induction
- NBN Champion, multiple All-Leagues and All-Star games, and some incredible placings on the All-Time Leaderboard Rankings. 4th in rebounds, 5th in double doubles, 64th in points, 56th in blocks.
- Vern was legitimately the prototype all-around perfect big man for much of his career. Was a consistently good scorer, defender, rebounder, and always meshed in well with team builds. Spent the majority of his career making deep playoff runs as a main scoring option on his team.
- Never really declined a significant amount. Vern was an extremely viable starting option through his entire career, start to finish. In every season that he was a starting big man, he averaged over 15 points per game and 12 rebounds per game, including 12 straight seasons over 17.5 PPG, even when playing with incredibly talented scorers like Paul Azirin.
Arguments Against Induction
- His steal/block average may be slightly lower than what is expected of a Hall of Famer, whether or not he has the all-time numbers to back them up. His longevity wasn't a question, his averages may have left a bit to desire in terms of stocks.
- Awards may be slightly low. Only a few All-League awards and All-Star awards put his candidacy up in question a little bit.
- He bounced around quite a lot after his tenure with the Pacers. Played with the Mavericks, Pistons, Cavs, and Wolves over just five seasons after leaving Indiana.
Vote carefully, and remember to throw out arguments regardless of which side you're on. This should be a discussion that eventually gets the league to the proper decision on him. Your vote can also be retracted after it's been cast if you feel like switching to the other side based on the arguments that have been made. To be inducted, a player needs 70% and to be considered in a later class they need 50%. Vote carefully.
***BONUS - Don't forget that everyone who votes gets $25 and the person that makes the best argument or contributes to the discussion the best will be awarded an extra $25***
