76ers Get: Kobe Bufkin Wolves Get: Jazz 32 76ers 32 76ers 33 $1k Tari Eason Marcus Liberty (just signed) I accept. I'm taking a huge risk with my entire team expiring before these picks, but I really like my lineup now and will worry about keeping it together later. verysilentone

Wolves accept
I took the deal which I thought would potentially yield a better return. Jokic could retire in the next 2 years. All the 76ers best players have expiring contracts in the next 2 seasons.

What's up with the lack of trade blocks verysilentone ? Youve now made four or five major deals involving Giddey, Ant, Chet, Bufkin and others and I don't think you've made it clear to anyone you were moving those guys. What's the deal?

There was definitely an initial trade block. I know I specifically reached out to you about Ant because I saw your block about Chet, but I did post a trade block for both Giddey and Ant nothinbutnetleague.proboards.com/thread/30999/wolves-blockI've also posted on each trade that I've made that the players being acquired were on the block. I guess I could've updated the trade block. After I made our trade, I stated that I thought I would get better value for Chet than Ant. I immediately received a few inquiries on Chet. After the Chet trade to TOR, I posted that Zubac and Bufkin were available and received multiple PMs on them. I guess if people didn't read the completed trades section, they wouldn't know, but they could also choose to ignore reading a trade block. Plus, everyone loves criticizing my trades, or lack thereof, so I know people love reading everything I do. I don't think this is a bad trade here. Honestly, I was offered the same trade that spike made for Reaves and was leaning towards that offer, but then it was gone. I think ucf is mad that I didn't respond after deciding on the 3 picks vs 2 picks. We did have discussions back and forth. I was trying to decide which offer had the better potential return. Raptors 30 and Knicks 33 vs Jazz 32, 76ers picks. There was more cash coming from ucf. There were some players mentioned from UCF, which I was interested in, but at the same time, he didn't acquire them for a huge return, so I didn't see there being a huge market for them if acquired by me. Look, I don't love making trades. Bundy wasn't happy that I didn't trade Zubac to him. Knicks isn't happy when I shake it more than once after peeing. Everyone loves to critique me because I don't always make moves, so I guess they get intrigued at what does actually get me to make a trade. I definitely posted a block initially. I should have updated it. I feel like I received enough value for all of these players. At this point, we have 5 firsts, Vrenz(who looks nice now) and 2250 in cash for flipping Chet this offseason. I still have Murphy who will mentor Perry and could be flipped afterwards also. I don't think it would be crazy for JHS or Suggs or Cadeau to bring back a decent return either, if they contribute. I didn't want to piss off ucf, I apologized on the PM when I went with this offer over his. It's basically a lot of speculation on which picks may be more valuable in the future. I also didn't want to hold up the trade and screw everyone over by not giving them an answer until a week from now.

You not making a ton of moves as the Hornets and then making five blockbuster moves is kind of why there is major push back. It feels like your are cosplaying me or yourkers when there are no stakes for you (ideally) long term but super conservative with your own team. It causes a disconnect.
And you can't seriously consider that to be blocking Ant or Giddey and I could be wrong but I don't see a post in tradr blocks regarding Chet or Bufkin. I don't have personal stakes here because I got a player from you and I wasn't in on the other three. But not getting the best offer is not best practice.
I don't think each individual deal has been good value but I think the overall picture has made some sense.

A day later you responded that you were deciding between 2 similar offers. I said let me know I’m open to different variations. You responded back asking a clarification on my offer. Then the next message was you were going with the other offer. You never gave me a chance to counter or raise my offer. We never had a negotiation. It was just me presenting you an offer and that’s it. Why was there a rush? Regular season doesn’t start for a few days.

I don't think each individual deal has been good value but I think the overall picture has made some sense. If anything I'm screwing myself over. I've traded all the better pieces out East where my own team is. As far as the Hornets, I've already said that I'm looking to make a huge deal. I have made trades. Everyone pretends that I don't. I traded a first for Foster and traded for Ware. I traded away Lavine. That's 3 trades last season. I never make big trades involving 5 draft picks for a star player. I never have. 3 trades is more than the average GM makes in a season. It's more than I normally make in a season. I ideally wanted to get Myles Turner who you just signed. I Pmd Bucks about a sign and trade this offseason, but he never responded. I Pmd him about Turner last year and we couldn't get it done before the deadline. Back to Wolves, I did not make a trade block since the initial one. That's my mistake. I made it clear that he was available when I acquired him, as I have with the other players that I've acquired. In my opinion, I think I've made the best deal available on each one. I didn't love trading you a first back in the Edwards one, but it was Lakers first and I didn't think he was going to rebuild, so that's my bad. There's no way that I could've known all his players would get injured in the playoffs again and Giddey wouldn't improve his team like it should have. If you want someone else to take over interim and veto this, that's fine. I think the team is in better shape now than they were before with or without Bufkin.

I think it's kinda silly that every trade we get the same comment of not being able to negotiate, just send your best offer to start and you can avoid that.
I initially offered two picks and cash, looked up the last time Bufkin got traded, saw that he was traded for 3 picks and cash so I added a pick without ever getting a response.
I offered better value than every other offer, better value than what Reaves went for, and the same value as what Bufkin was traded from the Blazers for (and ithink every comment was that the Blazers won that trade) and I somehow got the player I wanted, it's not that complicated
